Line is one of the simplest forms of God's creation. The Leaf of the Yellow Poplar, as illustrated below in figure 1.01, is a simple but intricately structured leaf.
Figure 1.02 displays only the outline of the leaf and its larger veins.
Lines in subjects allow the viewer to experience a form of structure. Lines can convey a mood or an action. Overall Line is the most recognizeable form in art.
